Professional Pet Sitting Company Joins Exchange

Manchester-based PetTech start-up, House My Pet, allows loving pet parents to access the best pet sitters, dog walkers and home boarders in their local area. From millipedes to horses, there are care options for all pets, including a dog wedding chaperone service for couples who want their furry friend involved in their special day. The business is joining Enterprise City’s start-up support programme, Exchange, alongside the latest cohort of businesses.

Founder and dog-lover, Sheena Evolution, credits her dog Summer as the co-founder of the company. After struggling to find care for Summer, Sheena was inspired to create a platform that only offers the best care for pets by linking up pet owners and carefully vetted carers. House My Pet’s pet care is tailored to pets’ needs and behaviours by a professional and trusted pet business directory.

Since its creation in 2018, House My Pet has gone on to see significant success, experiencing 50% growth over the last six months. The business has also featured in local and national newspapers in the last 18 months, after providing key workers, the vulnerable and the elderly in Manchester free pet care.

Most recently, the team have been working on launching a new platform that will aim to support pet businesses after the pandemic. They are redeveloping their current platform to create a professional pet business directory where pet business owners can virtually showcase their businesses and services to the local pet owner community. They are expecting to launch the new platform at the end of November.

Working from home can be isolating and friends and family can’t really understand the everyday hurdles we tech entrepreneurs have to overcome. Being in an environment with people on the same journey will be like a tribe to me as we all understand each other and can support one another, building professional relationships and friendships as we go along.”
